Passendale Cheese – Classic Belgian Cow’s Milk Cheese
Passendale is a classic Belgian cow’s milk cheese, named after the village of Passendale in West Flanders, where its story began in 1932. It is a cheese with real Belgian roots, originally created by the Donck family in close cooperation with local milk producers.
This cheese is known for its smooth, creamy texture and mild, slightly nutty flavour. Compared to stronger Belgian cheeses, Passendale is more approachable and easy to enjoy, while still offering a gentle depth and a warm, rounded taste.
Its lightly dusted rind gives the cheese a rustic and recognisable appearance. Inside, the cheese is soft, creamy and pleasant to slice, making it suitable for many different moments.
Perfect on a cheese board, in sandwiches, or melted into warm dishes. It also pairs beautifully with Belgian-style white beer, where its mild creaminess and subtle nuttiness come together nicely.
A friendly Belgian classic — smooth, mild and full of everyday charm.
Please note: All cheeses are cut by hand, so the final weight may vary slightly from the selected weight.
