🧀 Cheese & Storage
Is your cheese pre-packed?
No. All our cheese is hand-cut to order. Each piece is freshly cut especially for you.
Can the weight differ from what I ordered?
Yes — all our cheeses are cut by hand, so small weight differences can occur.
We always aim to cut as accurately and fairly as possible. In many cases, you may receive slightly more than the selected weight, but it is also possible that a piece is slightly below the selected weight within a reasonable tolerance.
Our general guideline for hand-cut portions is:
- 250 g → up to ±25 g
- 350 g → up to ±35 g
- 500 g → up to ±50 g
- 750 g → up to ±75 g
- 1000 g → up to ±100 g
If you order multiple pieces of the same cheese, individual weights may vary, but we always make sure the total weight is as close as possible to what you ordered.
By placing an order, you agree to these normal hand-cut variations.
How is the cheese packed?
Each piece of cheese is vacuum-packed to preserve freshness.
All ordered products are carefully placed in a box and securely sealed.
Inside the box, you will find one sheet of cheese storage paper per piece of cheese.
Why is cheese paper included and how should I use it?
Cheese paper allows the cheese to breathe while protecting it from drying out.
Unlike plastic wrap, it does not trap excess moisture, helping maintain flavor and texture for longer.
After opening the vacuum packaging:
- Remove the cheese.
- Wrap it in the cheese paper.
- Store it in the refrigerator (4–8°C).
- Occasionally unwrap and briefly air the cheese to prevent excess moisture.
How long does the cheese last?
Vacuum-packed cheese can usually be stored in the refrigerator for several weeks, depending on the type.
After opening the vacuum packaging, we recommend consuming the cheese within 1–2 weeks for optimal taste and texture.
Always store cheese in the refrigerator at approximately 4–8°C.
