1️⃣ Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website.

2️⃣ Use of the Website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others, restrict their use of the website, or interfere with the proper operation of the website.

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the website if misuse, fraud, unlawful activity, or abuse of our services is suspected.

3️⃣ Products and Pricing

All prices are listed in EUR and include VAT unless stated otherwise.

We reserve the right to:

  • Adjust prices at any time
  • Modify or discontinue products without prior notice
  • Correct pricing, product information, or typographical errors

Product images are for illustrative purposes only. Natural products such as cheese may vary slightly in appearance, colour, rind, texture, and cut.

Certain cheese products sold through our store are prepared and cut by hand to approximate serving weights. Standard portion options may include, for example, 250 g, 350 g, 500 g, 750 g, and 1000 g. Unless expressly stated otherwise, these weights are approximate target weights rather than guaranteed exact weights.

Because our cheeses are hand-cut, slight weight variations may occur. We always aim to cut as accurately and fairly as possible, and in many cases the delivered portion may be slightly more generous than the selected weight. However, a portion may also be slightly below the selected weight within a reasonable hand-cut tolerance.

Unless otherwise stated on the relevant product page, the following guideline tolerances apply to hand-cut cheese portions:

  • 250 g portion: up to 25 g variation
  • 350 g portion: up to 35 g variation
  • 500 g portion: up to 50 g variation
  • 750 g portion: up to 75 g variation
  • 1000 g portion: up to 100 g variation

Where a customer orders multiple hand-cut portions of the same product and weight category, the weight of individual pieces may vary above or below the target weight, provided that the overall delivered quantity for those portions remains reasonably consistent with the total ordered quantity, taking into account the applicable hand-cut tolerances.

For example, where two 250 g portions of the same cheese are ordered, one piece may weigh more and the other less than 250 g due to the hand-cutting process. In such cases, the pieces are assessed together as part of the same ordered quantity rather than strictly as identical individually cut units.

By placing an order for hand-cut cheese, you acknowledge and accept that the final delivered weight may vary within these reasonable hand-cut tolerances. Nothing in this clause limits your statutory rights where a product is materially incorrect, defective, unsafe, or otherwise not in conformity with applicable consumer protection law.

4️⃣ Orders and Payment

When placing an order, you confirm that all information provided is accurate, complete, and up to date.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order if:

  • Fraud or unauthorized activity is suspected
  • Product availability is incorrect or stock is unavailable
  • There is a pricing, technical, or system error
  • We are unable to fulfil the order for legitimate operational reasons

An order is considered accepted once you receive an order confirmation email from us. Receipt of an automated order confirmation does not guarantee fulfilment if a later stock, pricing, or technical issue is identified.

5️⃣ Shipping and Delivery

Shipping conditions, delivery methods, estimated delivery times, and parcel-related responsibilities are described in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary depending on destination, courier operations, holidays, weather conditions, or other factors outside our reasonable control.

We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party logistics providers such as DPD, Omniva, Smartposti, or Latvijas Pasts.

6️⃣ Returns and Refunds

Return conditions are described in our Return & Refund Policy.

In accordance with applicable Latvian and EU consumer protection rules, consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. However, this right does not apply where goods are liable to deteriorate rapidly or expire quickly, including perishable food products such as cheese, where applicable.

This does not affect your statutory rights in cases where goods are delivered incorrectly, arrive damaged, are defective, or are otherwise not in conformity with the contract.

7️⃣ Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SIA "Zelta produkti" shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with:

  • Use of, or inability to use, the website
  • The purchase, use, or consumption of products
  • Delivery delays or service interruptions caused by third parties
  • Technical errors, website downtime, or events outside our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted under applicable law, nor does it limit your statutory consumer rights under Latvian or EU law.

8️⃣ Food Safety and Storage

Our products are perishable and require appropriate storage after delivery or collection.

Once an order has been delivered, made available for collection, or collected from a parcel machine or pick-up point, the customer is responsible for storing the products in suitable conditions and for collecting them without undue delay.

We are not responsible for deterioration in quality caused by delayed collection, failure to refrigerate, exposure to unsuitable temperatures, or other improper storage or handling after delivery or collection has taken place.

9️⃣ Privacy and Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

🔟 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms or the use of our website shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Latvia, unless mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise.

📝 Changes to These Terms
