Alpenberger Tirol is an authentic Alpine mountain cheese made from raw cow’s milk sourced from cows grazing on the lush green meadows of Tirol, the famous “land between the mountains” in Austria.

Rooted in centuries-old Alpine pasture traditions, this cheese reflects the craftsmanship and passion of local producers in the picturesque valleys of Tirol. The recipe has been passed down through generations, preserving its authentic character and quality.

The amber-coloured interior reveals well-formed white tyrosine crystals — a natural sign of long maturation and high quality. These crystals add a pleasant crunch and indicate a rich, complex flavour profile.

Alpenberger Tirol offers a mild yet expressive taste with sweet and salty notes of butter and caramel, becoming slightly spicier as it matures. Its firm but delicate texture makes it wonderfully versatile: perfect for salads, sandwiches, cheese boards, and melting dishes such as stews or fondue.

Delicious when paired with dried meats, honey, nuts or figs. Best enjoyed with beer, red wine or even whisky.

Please note: all cheese portions are hand-cut, so the final weight may vary slightly from the selected amount.
